Murano Mandruzzato faceted bowl/dish/ashtray, vintage retro 1960s/1970s art glass. Olive green, amber double sommerso, cased. Mid century
A unusual Murano art glass dish. Made in Murano, Italy. Original design attributed to Mandruzzato or Campanella.
It's five sided pentagon from above, with five pentagon shaped cut (faceted) sides and a more unusual textured lower half and base. The cut sides are skillfully polished flat. With the contrasting textures it reflects the light in an amazing way. Flat polished rim with a round opening (it's slightly skew-whiff). It's an unusual deep olive or khaki green internally (a rounded well); this inner floating colour (sommerso) has a layer of deep copper golden amber sommerso, and the outer glass (the casing) is clear.
Circa 1960s/1970s vintage. Could also be 1980s vintage as there's no signs of age. Hand made/hand finished - a beautifully made quality Italian piece.
A good size - 7.5cm tall x 12.5cm wide. Weighs 900g - a funky statement chunk of Venetian glass.
Excellent condition - very displayable and collectable with no chips or obvious scratches... no signs of age. There's the tiniest tiny fleebite inside the rim. It's amazing and you'll love it! Really quite unique colourway.
Includes P&P to the UK. Perfect gift idea.
