Murano glass GEODE bowl/ashtray/dish. Plum purple/amethyst and blue. Italian sommerso cased art glass mid-century. Vintage/retro MCM 60s/70s

A beautiful Murano (Italy) geode from the 1960s or so.
Thick solid glass in a S-like shape - being a 'geode' it's like a shape that's been cut in half.
Glass is around 1.8cm thick. Flat polished geode rim, and flat polished base.
Plum-purple coloured inner rounded well. Cased in a rich mid blue colour glass.
Nicely made, quality, with great colours.

No chips, the smallest of small micro-bites inside the rim.
The small imperfections you can see on the rim are from manufacture.
A few tiny bubbles internally.
Very good condition - displayable, presentable and collectable.

A stunning piece of vintage art glass.
