Murano clam shell glass bowl. Red, opaline white & clear cased biomorphic dish. Vintage 1960s Italian/Venetian Seguso Dalla Venezia. Ashtray

A vintage Murano art glass bowl, in a clam shape.
Attributed to Seguso Dalla Venezia or Barbini, Murano, Venice.

There are three layers - a white opaline middle, then a red sommerso layer, all cased in clear glass.
See photos - the middle of the bowl is non-transparent red due to the solid white colour inside.

Base shows signs of wear and age, as you'd expect for the era.
No chips or bites. There are a few bubbles from manufacture.
And there are a few surface marks here and there.

A stunning and unusual statement piece, very displayable, perfect for a retro red room!
