Murano art glass faceted GEODE bowl/ashtray/dish. Vintage/retro deep pink/magenta. Italian cut glass, mid-century. Square octagon. Sommerso

A beautiful and chunky Murano (Italian/Venetian) geode from the 1960s/70s or so.
Thick solid glass in a square shape with four cut corners - so octagonal from above.
Flat thick polished rim, 16 facets (cut faces), then blends into a rounded circular bowl towards the baseline.
Small square shaped rounded inner well. Solid thick glass is 2.5cm thick. Flat polished base.
Deep magenta pink colour inner floating colour (sommerso), surrounded by a pale lilac pink coloured glass outer casing.
Mouth blown/hand made. Skillfully made, fab example.

No chips, bites, nibbles, marks. Dare I say, it's perfect.
Top notch condition for age and as good as you would get!
Great quality, very collectable and very displayable example.

Glows orange under a UV light - showing likely Cadmium and Selenium content.
Looks to be Neodymium/Alexandrite colouring, but I'm pretty sure it isn't.
