Montanus & Remy West German red vintage pottery vase, fat lava era. Brutalist textured Horst + Gunter 52/15. 1960s mid century retro ceramic

A funky vintage vase by Horst Montanus and Gunter Remy, West Germany, probably dating from the 1960s 'fat lava' era. This vintage art pottery vase features a red glaze with textured random horizontal lines and rough 'granules' below, see pictures. All glossy red over a red terracotta clay. Stamped to the base with the MR logo and the model number 52/15. A rounded gourd-like shape with ornamental handle - a typical West German shape, mid century modern, brutalist and retro in styling.

The shape is 52/15... 15 denoting 15.5cm tall. 13.5cm widest. Inside narrow rim neck is about 2.7cm wide.

Good displayable condition. The rim line has some fine lines, last photo, probably part of the glaze. A couple of 'granules' have glaze missing off the tops. I'd give it a 8.5/10 for condition.

Perfect and more unusual statement for your retro interior and to add to a collection. Great for a single stem and splash of colour and texture on your sideboard. Please see photos showing decor, colour and condition.
