A tall and elegant mid-century style bird. Hand carved from wood, unsure what type of wood. Typical of those produced in teak, but this is a softwood - it's lightweight and a dark brown. Skilfully carved from one single piece with wing and base details. Most likely to be African origin. Circa 60s or 70s vintage.

Great displayable condition with no chips and a nice natural sheen (most are chipped to the beak). A tall statement 42cm x 8cm wide x 4cm deep at the shoulders.

Perfect for a mid-century inspired interior, on a teak sideboard or shelf.
