Mid century vintage teak long tray, 1960s/1970s. Retro wood, Mid century Modernist. Danish/Scandinavian style. Serving, dining, nibbles. 18"

A super Mid Century long teak tray or serving board. It looks to be (very skillfully) handmade from one piece of hardwood, mostly likely teak. The wood is dense and a reddy colour and has a natural unvarnished finish. It's quality and nicely made. Circa 1960s/1970s vintage and possibly Scandinavian origin - certainly of that simple style. Each end has a series of grooves carved in. Unknown brand and era, no maker's marks, but I wonder if it was made by one of the furniture designers of the time to go with a coffee table. The tray has an old felt base underneath.

All in very nice presentable condition with minimal marks, see photos. I've left it natural and not re-oiled it. Good sized - 45 x 14.5 x 3cm (long, narrow and shallow). Ideal as a centrepiece, for nick-nacks, phones and remote controls, dry foods, or just for display in a Mid century room.
