A handmade and unique Brutalist/Rustic style sculpture from 1973/1974.
Metalwork mixed metals welded and soldered together with a slight brassy sheen and natural patina. See photos.
A mid century style tall stretching bird mounted on wood.

The wooden plinth (teak?) is dedicated to someone under the base...
Base reads: 'To "Joe" from his very good friends at E.R.D.C. Nov 74'.
There's also different writing saying "Duggie" - I think this bird was affectionately known as Duggie in the 70s!

36cm (14") tall.

A curious sculptural piece, hopefully you can give him a new home.
