Mdina Maltese turquoise/teal/cyan/petrol blue art glass bottle stem vase, Signed. Sea and sand, vintage 1970's. Small

A lovely petite Mdina bottle vase.
The old style sticker dates it to 70's, an earlier Mdina vase.
Probably a design by Michael Harris.
Signed 'Mdina' on the base.

It's a pure solid deep blue green turquoise with no speckles.
Photos make it look bluer than it is - it's vivid deep turquoise.
The blue was used in 'sea and sand' designs, meant to be like the beaches in Malta.
Rim is large and flared, narrow neck - would hold just one stem.
It's more ornamental and for display than for use as a vase!
Textured/ribbed bottom half.

I also have a larger one with an original model number sticker - which reads 'Made in Malta M/212' - so it may be the same shape/number.

One small chip below the label - see if you can spot it.
A couple of other hard to see surface marks.

8cm high. Rim is 5cm wide. Base/body is 7.5cm wide.
Heavy thick quality and hand made and unique.
Very displayable!
