Lucite/perspex lamp shade. Vintage Mid Century 1960s/1970s nylon string. Big spiderweb light/ceiling pendant lampshade. Clear UFO space age

A stunning mid century vintage lampshade, circa 1960s/1970s. It's like a spiderweb, intricately woven around a set of seven vertical clear lucite (perspex) combs and two clear horizontal lucite discs. Very much like lamp shades by Paul Secon for Sompex, Germany (this has no maker's marks).

The strings are tight clear nylon - they are clear/white in appearance. The top hole makes it UK light fitting (pictured), this has a 28mm wide inner hole (please check this works for you). For a pendant type ceiling light fitting (advisory, use a low wattage smaller bulb - no fittings are included).

Very good vintage condition with no chips or strings out of place. Very usable and displayable. The clear vertical combs have some old hard to see fine paint splatters and the threads have dust in places.

A large sized, round and squat seven-sided 20cm tall x 46cm wide - UFO shaped.

Perfect for a mid century, retro or space age styled room. A nightmare to photograph, photos don't do it justice... So striking!
