A striking Knobbly vase by Liskeard Glass, Cornwall, England. Designed in the 1970s by Jim Dyer, brother of Harry Dyer who was designing the more famous Knobbly vases at Whitefriars Glass. (Jim did also work at Whitefriars). The vase bears the distinctive LG stamp on the base.

It's very thick solid glass with a thick flat rim. The green inner is a vivid mid green (it looks slightly bluer on my photos), and it is cased in clear glass. There are three rows of knobbles and dimples and swirls on the outer surface. The vase tapers in towards the rim. Handmade/mouth blown in the 70s.

Very good condition for age and era. No chips. There's an indent and graze on one lower lobe which is most likely to be a mistake from manufacture (see last photo).

15cm tall x 11cm wide at widest point. Weighs a hefty 1.66kg, so UK only, sorry.
