Kosta Pippi suspended bubble crystal glass ice bucket. Scandinavian 1970s retro. Mid century barware, drinks, On The Rocks. Vicke Lindstrand

A stunning Modernist ice bucket by Vicke Lindstrand, from the Pippi range for Kosta, Sweden.

This Pippi ice bucket has a simple single suspended air bubble within the thick solid base. Circa 1970s or 1980s vintage. Skillfully hand made glass ice bucket with a lead crystal content - can tell by the weight, high quality and bright clarity. It has a reflective chrome handle, with plastic internal mounts. Made by Kosta (so from before Kosta Boda and Orrefors joined).

Excellent condition. Clean, bright and very usable and displayable. No chips or nibbles. One small scratch on the outer surface, and minimal surface marks on the flat polished base. Unsigned.

11.3cm tall x 10.1cm wide - quite petite, like a giant drinks tumbler!
Weighs 1kg.
