A beautiful tactile Kosta Boda Snowball - a classic collectable candle holder and table centre piece. Made in Sweden. I believe it's 24% lead crystal, so it's heavy and bright and clear, reflecting light beautifully. This one is circa 1990s/2000s vintage (with etched KB logo to the base and sticker). Older versions were made by Kosta, pre Kosta Boda.

In excellent condition with no chips. Due to the production processes and hand finishing, these all have visible moulding lines, creases, bubbles, undulations etc. This makes every Snowball unique - part of its ongoing appeal today and making it ice-like.

Apx 8cm high x 9cm wide - so the middle size available. Heavy moulded hand-finished crystal glass, weighs 723g. Suitable for both a tealight candle and a small pillar candle (hole is apx 4.3cm wide). It has an etched maker's mark to the base and maintains its original sticker (slightly peeling away).

Created by Ann Wärff in 1973, the Snowball has become a classic Kosta Boda design. The snowball votive is crafted of thick, clear crystal with layers, creases, and bumps that give it a realistic look. Set a candle inside through the opening on top, and the light moves through the glass in all directions and angles. The effect is magical on an evening dining table, mantelpiece, or bar.
