A simple cylinder-shaped vase by Karlsruhe, West Germany. Model number 7447. Curiously, it has an original paper sticker to the base, 'Keramik Weber, Koln'. I believe this sticker was a shop/retailer in Koln. Circa 1960s/1970s - the 'fat lava' era - modernist, retro and minimalist in style.

It has a smooth matt glaze, undulating blue over brown, with smooth glaze and some light bleeding between colours. It's 12cm tall x 6.4cm wide. Stamped to the base with the Karlsruhe logo with model number 7447, along with the sticker. The blue is mid to Royal blue and the brown is light and streaky.

Good condition for age and era. There's a tiny 1mm chip to the outer rim, and some tiny surface marks, see photos. Great gift for a collector, a hard to find item.
