Jonathan Harris signed Horizon art glass paperweight. 2002 Ironbridge & sticker. Desk ornament paper weight. Michael Harris Mdina interest

A beautiful signed Jonathan Harris art glass paperweight. It dates from 2002 and is from the Horizon series of glass sculptures and collectables.

Jonathan Harris is son of Michael Harris (Mdina and Isle of Wight Studio Glass) and brother to Timothy Harris (Isle of Wight Studio Glass). It's clear to see the family connection and influences.

The Horizon range features layers of glass, the blue skies with cracked silver leaf to the top, and below are the earthy darker lower layers. The bottom section is dark but on close inspection you can almost make out fields in the greens and browns of the landscapes depicted - with the floating undulating horizon. It's contemporary, made in 2002. Fully hand signed to the base - hard to make out but I can decipher 'Jonathan Harris Ironbridge 2002 Horizon'.

Handmade by Jonathan Harris and unique, it's quite sizeable weighing 1kg. It maintains its original sticker too.

9cm tall x 8cm wide. Excellent condition. It's a fascinating piece!

Price includes P&P.
