A super vintage 1960s Hornsea Tanglewood vase, designed by John Clappison.
Stylish and simple, this is the 9" version, model no 982.
I think it was only produced from 1964 to 1965.
Ceramic/clay/pottery vase.

It looks satin black and white, but in good sunlight it's actually very dark olive green.
White linear scraffito design is on the bottom half, hand drawn, and a line around the rim.
The white is slightly indented/incised.

Stamped to base with 'Hornsea England' in capitals, and also indented with the model no 982.

Excellent condition. No chips.
9" tall x 9.3cm wide at base.
