Hornsea Saffron biscuit cookie jar. 1970s John Clappison. Retro/vintage, tan golden brown. Round, lidded food storage pot/container. Pottery

A lovely Hornsea Saffron large round Biscuits storage jar. John Clappison design, British made. Stamped with the Hornsea logo on the base and circa mid 1970s vintage. Shades of reddy tan, orange, golden light brown over a cylindrical ceramic/pottery form.

The jar is very good condition with no chips. Very clean. The wooden lid is original vintage and is very good for the age - it has some wear around the edges from use, but the original inner seal still forms a good air-tight seal. Perfect for display, use and for your retro kitchen!

Large - 20cm tall with lid on, 15cm diameter.
