Guzzini per Alimenti round picnic Pic Boll set 70s/80s retro/space-age. White stripe orb/ball/globe, melamine/plastic hamper. Camping/VW

A great example of the original Guzzini design classic from the 1970s, with the added bonus of a rare additional serving bowl.
A space-age and pure retro picnic set contained within an orb.
Not sure when this version dates from, circa 1980s.

This set is in white with the Italian red and green stripe, and is virtually complete, as follows:
6 bowls, 6 side plates, 4 large plates, 6 clear striped beakers/cups, a salt and pepper shaker, a tray, two large (salad/serving) bowls (formed from the outer shell), plus another slightly smaller footed matching serving bowl too - a hard to find accessory!

No chips or cracks on the plastic/melamine. Hardly any marks on anything internally. Very clean, some pieces are untouched and unused.
Four cups, the shaker and the carry handle all maintain their original gold stickers/labels. The cups come in their original plastic packaging bags.

Very clever design! Made in Italy.
Outer surface has minimal marks but overall a fantastic hardly touched example.
Heavy - 2.8kg. Includes P&P to the UK only by courier.

Orb is apx 27cm wide x 23cm high.
