Green glass decanter by Erik Hoglund (Kosta Boda) for Neiman Marcus. Female bottle, 70s Empoli
This lovely pressed glass green decanter was designed by Swedish designer Erik Hoglund for Nieman Marcus (I think it was a department store). It was made at Empoli, Italy in the 70s.
Erik Hoglund had also used this design with Kosta Boda but those decanters were made with blown glass and were heavier more solid glass, whereas the Neiman Marcus ones were pressed thin glass - like this.
This particular one is the female decanter as it has a round head - head is hollow with natural bubbles.
It has the original plastic stopper to seal the top in the neck of the bottle.
Probably intended as oil and vinegar bottles - or similar.
Apx 25cm tall x 8cm diameter at base.
I can't find any flaws, perfect!
