Gold tone vintage Brutalist/Modernist pendant & necklace. 1960s/1970s retro metal 3D layered textured. Stamped costume jewellery + 24" chain

A stunning vintage gold coloured necklace... It is a bunch of random lines and shapes with different textures and layers, with cubes, balls, holes and flatter areas, forming roughly an oval shape with a raised middle. It is a Brutalist style (irregular with jagged edges/shapes and unpredictable) costume jewellery piece - typical of the 1960s or 1970s era.

The random layers and shapes make the pendant 3D and fascinating - it's apx 37mm x 36mm x 8mm with a loop on the back for the chain. Cast gold tone metal / coated with a gold finish, excellent dull gold finish with darkened areas too (rather than a bright yellow), with no signs of wear. Stamped on the back with '1526', see photos. The pendant is on a 24" long simple gold coloured metal cable chain (typical of the time), with a spring ring closure, non-adjustable. It sits at heart height. Unknown maker.

An excellent true-vintage example with no missing colour. Great condition, very wearable... quite a fabulous retro statement!
