A super leaf-inspired brooch by Gertrud Engel for Anton Michelsen, Denmark. Dating from the 1960s era, it's that beautifully elegant and simple Scandinavian Modernist style - typical of the time. Gently curved long, slim, leaf-like fronds in high quality 925 Sterling Silver. The brooch is a larger-sized open design with darker tones of silver to the centres of the fronds and shinier edges.

Very good vintage condition. It's a large 67mm x 48mm with a long roll-over pin to the reverse. It's stamped with the Anton Michelsen 'AM' logo to the reverse, along with 'Sterling Denmark' and stamp signed 'Rougie', Gertrud Engel's signature. It weighs 14 grams and, being abstract, can be worn any way round.
