A super art glass dish, by Paul Kedelv for Flygsfors, Sweden. Known as a Coquille bowl.
Signed to the base with 'Coquille' and 'Flygsfors 59'... so 1959.

Distinctive colourings - hot pink with a purple inner, both floating colours, with a ring of opaque white, then cased in clear glass.
Beautiful shape, a gentle scoop with a curled under end. Very photogenic!

It's a small example - 12.5cm x 8.2cm wide x 4.5cm tall.

Very very good condition for age and era. The base shows signs of the era with 3 microscopic fleebites on the baseline (too small to get a finger nail in). Upper body is very good - just two very small nicks on the clear rim, but they're hard to see. A few small insignificant surface marks. All only mentioned for accuracy - it is a really nice example from mid century 1959! Hard to believe the age, ahead of its time.
