Danish teak mid century Viking figurine. Vintage 1960's retro troll/gonk/man with shield & beard. MCM Eames Dansk era. Wooden with real fur

A lovely example of a Danish Viking from the 1960's or 70's.
Mid Century Modern and in the style of Kay Bojesen's figures or Hans Bolling Orskov, but unsure of exact maker - not stamped.
Mostly turned wood rather than carved.

I'd say he's teak (distinctive dense reddy hardwood) with some other lighter hardwood parts, like olive, rosewood or oak (two different tones of wood).
Real rabbit fur beard. He's holding a shield on his rope arms, and there's a hole in his foot where his spear would have originally been.
Bead eyes, suede ears, bead centre to the shield.

No obvious flaws, he's pretty much as he would have been made. Very well preserved for his age (50 years old!?).
I've not polished him up, so he's the natural sheen of teak (unvarnished).

18.5cm tall and solid.
A very very good collectable Mid Century figurine.
