A large Danish teak tray, to a Laur Jensen design. Circa 1960s-1970s vintage, handmade, with a 'Made in Denmark' sticker to the reverse.

It's solid hand-carved dark reddy teak wood, dense and heavy. Carved/segmented into a smooth teardrop or fish shaped dips, in a serpentine wave. Late mid century with retro Scandi styling.

Good vintage condition with some signs of use. Being handmade there are carving marks; it's not as neat and refined as some, but probably more authentic. There are a few white paint marks outside and a couple of inner water marks within some wells. It has been re-finished in Danish oil. A good Danish example (many of these are made in Thailand). A big centrepiece statement sized 18" long, 23cm wide, 4.5cm tall. Ideal for dry nibbles/trinkets and for display. (Hard to photograph in autumn dark daylight).
