A lovely Mid-century Modern 1960s handmade vintage pewter brooch. It is like a simple Viking shield design, the middle is raised into a bump. Softened square shape. Danish - by Anne C Packness - stamped signed to the reverse but it's hard to read. Can just make out 'RK' from 'Denmark' underneath.

Being pewter it's a soft metal, so it does have subtle surface marks from age/wear. I've polished it up with silver polish but pewter would naturally be more dull and grey than this, so it will fade back in time.

48mm wide x 45mm high - a good statement size, very striking. Good vintage wearable condition. Pin works and is fine.
