Cinque Ports Pottery, The Monastery, Rye - set of 6 cups & saucers. 1970s vintage retro. Sussex handmade studio art pottery. Tea coffee cups

A vintage studio pottery set of six cups and saucers by Cinque Ports Pottery, The Monastery, Rye, Sussex. Circa 1970s vintage.

This set of beautifully handmade and hand painted cups and saucers are in neutral tones - a warm natural beige/brown - with random indented scratched/sgraffito vertical stripes. The cups are cylinder shaped and a matte finish, they are glossy white internally with a subtle duck-egg rim. The saucers are contrasting glossy (with no maker's stamps). The cups are all stamped with 'The Monastery' logo to the base.

Cups are roughly 8.2cm tall x 6cm cylinder. Saucers are around 13cm wide. Excellent condition with no signs of use or age. They hold about 200ml - just shy of a standard 'cup' measurement.

Perfect for display, for use and for a collector. Every cup is unique and handmade - the glazes and designs all vary. Ideal for a stronger Sunday morning coffee.

Price includes P&P to the UK. (Price is based on £5 per cup and saucer, delivered).
