Carlton Ware Skye yellow/orange round hors d'oeuvres/nibbles plate/platter #2814. Vintage 1960s mid century. Ceramic pottery party dish/tray

A super Skye range round ceramic plate by Carlton Ware. It's numbered to the back '2814', which dates it quite precisely to 1968-1969... that space age and atomic era. The textured surface of the plate certainly seems influenced by a lunar landscape. This zesty yellow dish fades from a more lime greeny yellow in the middle, through sharp to warm yellow, to vivid pure orange at the edges: the Sunglow colourway.

A round tray/dish - perfect for display or for serving hors d'oeuvres/nibbles/olives - you know the sort of thing. Randomly textured lower flat surface, smooth rim. Mid century Modernist design, quite minimal, colourful and glossy. Perfect for a retro or contemporary household, as a centrepiece or for display, or as a gift for a collector.

28.8cm wide and about 3cm deep. Stamped to the back with the logo and model no. Overall, very good condition for age and era. No chips or cracks. Some crazing and tiny glaze imperfections on very very close inspection, see photos. Very useable and displayable.
