Caithness Stroma vintage 4" art glass bowl dish 4025. Cased smoky Peat brown shallow bowl, Domhnall OBroin. 1970s Scottish handmade, sticker

A vintage modernist Caithness bowl.... A beautifully simple piece of art glass, by Caithness Glass, Scotland. This is a 4" 4025 bowl - part of the simple Stroma series. Designed by Domhnall OBroin in the early 1960s, this has its older style original paper sticker.

Handmade mouth blown art glass. Lovely thick glass, pale smokey brown (Peat) inside, cased in clear glass. Shallow dish with straight sides and a flat polished rim. The design is like a mid century Scandinavian piece; simple, stylish, beautifully finished. The brown is a typically 1970s retro light smoke brown.

Lovely condition with no marks inside and great rim, displays really well. A very small scratch near the sticker. 4" wide x 3.7cm tall. Typical Caithness base - smooth and slightly indented. A Caithness collector would love this!
