An unusual Brutalist silver torque collar necklace, dating from 1996...

It has a series of random lines, just like pieces from the mid century in the Brutalist style. Probably unique and hand engraved. Hallmarked to the back - the maker's mark is either WJG or WOG, and it has the lion and lion's head for London sterling silver, and a W for 1996. It's Modernist and Minimalist also in style - simple and slimline, with a punky vintage edge...

It's 12" long, 14" including the 2" gap at the open back (10.5cm wide side to side). Flatter and wider the front (8mm wide silver) and squarer and rounded to the back, the torque necklace has movement to twist on and off (it is soft enough to manipulate). It weighs 29 grams.
