A super West German fat lava vase, by Bay Ceramic (Keramik). From the fat lava era of the 1960s or 1970s, and a great fat lava example with nice thick dripping glaze, exploding bubbles and matte and glossy textures. Model no 66-14 - a more petite size. Stamped to the base.

Glossy red lower half, with matt black and white bubble glaze over, and contrasting glossy brown neck. The red is a pure bright red. 15cm tall x 10cm wide at the belly. Inner rim is 4cm so will take a small bunch of flowers if used.

Lovely condition, looks great on display. Any exploded bubbles are deliberate and part of the appeal.
