Baby Kosta Boda Sunflower, vintage tealight candle holder/votive. Small art glass, lead crystal. Goran Wärff 1970s/70s. Swedish/Scandinavian

A beautiful Kosta Boda Sunflower votive - a collectable art glass candle holder. The smallest in the series - and quite hard to find (the last two photos show it to the left of a more commonly-found size Sunflower).

Designed by Goran Warff in the 1970s, and handmade in Sweden. If you look from above you can see the sunflower shape; petals with a dotty textured inner round. This version doesn't have the usual stem-like base, just the slightly smaller flower head. I believe it's 24% lead crystal, so it's heavy and bright and clear, reflecting light beautifully. Could be up to 40 years old, circa 1970s-1990s vintage.

In very good condition with no chips. Due to the production processes and hand finishing, these are all slightly different with varying petal lengths etc.

It's the baby version (no stem) - it varies from 4cm to 5cm high x 8cm wide. Weighs 266g. Suitable for both a tealight candle and a small pillar candle (holder area is 4.5cm wide), or just to bunch together with other Sunflowers. No maker's marks.
