Arcopal Harlequin 6 big opal cups & saucers. Vintage retro. French Opale glass. Six coffee/tea cups, set. Pastels/gold pearlescent, Pyrex

A really pretty set of six large Arcopal cups and saucers (French Pyrex style).

They're the harder to find larger taller cups (6.6cm tall). Milky white opal pressed glasswear, coated in 6 opalescent pastel shades with gold gilt trims. I think the design originated in 1958, so circa 1960s vintage. Made in France. Normal-sized tea or coffee cups, ideal for a herbal tea or a Sunday morning coffee.

Colours are pale cream, pale green, baby pink, pale grey, pale peach and baby blue - please see photos, they're very subtle pale shades. An original complete set. The nature of the Arcopal glassware design means these are durable - suitable for the dishwasher.

Very good condition as you can see - no signs of use. No chips or nibbles or spoon marks, very clean. All stamped to the bases. Gold gilt trims are very good for the age, minimal wear. Being pressed glass there are some manufacturing lines/swirls and irregularities in the pearl glazes.

Each cup is around 8.8cm diameter (excl handle) x 6.6cm tall. Saucers are 13.9cm wide. Apx 200ml, 7 floz, 3/4 cup, or 1/3 pint sized cups.

A particularly good set - perfect for a Sunday morning in your retro 1950s or 1960s styled kitchen or garden!
