A classic bit of mid-century design from the Arabia Ruska range... A pair of larger cups and saucers. The glazes on these vary enormously between tan to brown to black, these are predominantly mid brown with highlights of lighter tan brown and darker speckles. See photos. One cup has the remnants of a logo to the base - the stamps wore off very easily.

The Ruska glaze was designed by Ulla Procopé in around 1960, she worked for Arabia (Finland) from 1948 to 1968. The name Ruska roughly translates from the Finnish as 'Autumn'.

This set of coffee cups are likely to be 1970s vintage.... they're the larger ones suitable for a cappuccino or breakfast coffee. Simple lines and natural colouring and beautifully designed. Classic sturdy design. Brown glaze over white stoneware/earthenware.

Each cup is 10cm wide (or 4", excluding handle) x 5.5cm high. Each saucer is 16cm wide x 2cm high.

Excellent condition, very tactile. Just the usual charming individual differences in the glaze and moulding from time of manufacture - every piece is different!
