Arabia Finland wall tile by Heljä Liukko-Sundström. Small square Orvokkini tummasilmä flowers. 1999 Finnish ceramic/pottery. Pink/green art

A super art wall-hanging tile by Heljä Liukko-Sundström, a Finnish ceramics designer who worked for Arabia, Finland. One from a series of floral paintings on square tiles, this one is 'Orvokkini tummasilmä' which translates to 'my violet dark eye'. It was part of a 30 year Arabia Finland series and is dated 1999.

It's a very fine pale pottery/ceramic, off white, with the glossy design printed to the front and likely hand painted in/hand finished. Signed (stamped) to the bottom with 'Heljä Liukko-Sundström'. Deep green background with the black floral outlines, a white and sky blue bunch of flowers. Beautifully designed and stylised.

Comes with its original wall hanging sprung hook and 4-point holder, see photo (I removed it for cleaning and have left it off). Stamped to the reverse with all the information. No chips, excellent condition. 11.6 x 11.6cm. Thin and fragile.
