Arabia Finland 100 anniversary plate, Raija Uosikkinen. 1970s Finnish ceramic/pottery/clay. Blue & white countryside. Art ornamental, 1973

A beautiful collectable plate designed by Raija Uosikkinen, for Arabia, Finland. It's number '100' and was designed to commemorate 100 years of Arabia Finland - I would assume this plate is therefore 1973 or 1974. One from a series of three plates, the others were 101 and 102 and dated from the same period.

It's a fine matte stoneware/ceramic/clay, off white, with the glossy blue round design printed to the front. The image depicts a typical rural Scandinavian scene with farmland, a church, fields and some houses. Designed to be ornamental and viewed on a plate stand. Stamped to the reverse with the Arabia 100 logo.

No chips, really good condition. 26cm wide.
