Anette Edmark large ceramic horse's head sculpture. Vintage 1990s. Brodd, Ikea Sweden 1999. Modernist minimalist brown art figurine/portrait

A beautiful minimalist horse's head sculpture, by Anette Edmark (Stockholm, Sweden). The piece is vintage Ikea, Sweden, from 1999 and is called 'Brodd'. It was Art Deco inspired and maintains both of its original stickers. A good large size, perfect for a mantelpiece or shelf. Simple lines, stylised, looking down with ears pricked.

He's a satin finish, tactile with a bronze-look brown/black glaze (slightly mottled speckled). He is made of a terracotta ceramic/pottery. He stands 27.5cm tall and he has his original foam base. A desirable and sought-after sculpture that must've been in short production.

Priced accordingly - this does have a chip to the righthand side, with some scuffs above on the side edge. And some scuffs to the rear upper ear. There are some other small surface scratches, mostly out of sight when on display. The original felt pad has been ill-fitted (sits slightly off-centre so shows from one side). Please see all photos. I'd give it a 7/10 - good for display, for a collector and a collection.
