9" vintage Conrah Cristillium vase. Aluminium anodised gold metal, geometric machine engraved/cut. Modernist 1970s retro. Metallic cylinder

A striking Cristillium (aluminium based) large vase or pot by Conrah Metal Products, Wales. Circa early 1970s vintage. It's a gold colour with very fine horizontal lines (like an LP), which has been machine-cut through in a diamond patterned band to reveal the reflective silver coloured metal below. It catches the light in a really striking reflective way.

Simple cylinder shaped, it's a large 9" x 3" vase. It maintains the original green felt base, with original label which reads: "Design Copyright. 1967 & 1972. Cristillium. Made in Wales. Conrah Metal Products." The gold is a light gold metallic colour. Being aluminium/cristillium it is a lightweight and a soft metal.

It is in excellent condition for the age/era. Striking and simple Modernist British design.
