1975 Brutalist sterling silver ring, size O. Vintage retro 925 hallmarked London C&T. Bark textured band, red square garnet stone. Modernist

A fabulous Brutalist 1975 fully hallmarked Sterling Silver and garnet ring...

A claw mounted square deep faceted red garnet, held in four simple prongs (I believe it's garnet). The surrounds are random layered 3D bark-textured lines and blocks. The flat band is straight edged and textured with textured sides. All typically late 1960s to early 1970s with Brutalist textures and Modernist style.

It's hallmarked inside with 'C&T' (the maker, Clifford & Tull) then the lion and lion head stamps for Sterling Silver London, and the date letter 'A' for 1975. The silver is British 925 grade. The maker Clifford & Tull was based in London in the early 1970s.

It's a UK size O, please check that it should fit you (not adjustable). It weighs 6 grams. The stone is about 5 x 5mm, with the surround the silver shape is 17 x 20mm. The 3D layered surround extends the openwork surround and stone upwards by about 10mm.

Very good vintage condition. Looks beautiful on. Very presentable, funky and retro, and a perfect gift idea... Ideal for those turning 50 this year, born in 1975.
