1960s studio pottery tankard, stylised fish, signed FL. Mid century vintage ceramic beer stein, 1 pint glass, large mug. Scandinavian style

A 1960s pottery unique artisan one-pint tankard/beer stein (or huge mug) by 'FL'...

I've not been able to identify the artist which looks to read as 'FL', but I would guess at mid century British/Cornish studio pottery in a Scandinavian style. The FL initials to the base are engraved within a fish shape.

The pottery stein has been wheel thrown and hand painted with three blue fish. The fish are highly stylised, symmetrical and deep dusky blue with some darker outlines. The base glaze is a taupe/mushroom and has some Poole Aegean style geometric background designs.

Very good condition, fully functional. One out of sight baseline slither chip, see photos.

13.5cm tall x 9.5cm wide at base, tapering into 6cm at inner rim. Holds 600ml max, or 1 pint. More ornamental studio pottery than a practical beer stein!
