A mid century Scandinavian plate - from the 'A La Carte' series by Hermann Bongard with form by Ragnar Grimsrud, for Figgjo Flint, Norway. The pattern was created in the 1960 and was produced until 1965, so of this early 60s era.

White glazed ceramic, with a screen-printed design of stylised food (fish, cockerel and other abstract foods). The design is typically MCM Scandinavian. Stamped underneath with: "FF Made in Norway, Scandinavian Design. A La Carte. Underglaze quality".

In very good vintage condition with no chips, see close up photos. The plate is side or sandwich plate size - 20.5cm wide.

A hard to find and highly collectable design. More for display and for a collection than for practical use.
