1960s Eloksal Hoyang blue aluminium ice bucket, ice tongs & water jug set. Norwegian/Scandinavian vintage barware. Anodised metallic metal

A lush ice bucket, ice tongs and water jug set by Eloksal Hoyang, Norway. Dating from between 1960 and 1972, these are all in an anodised metallic blue aluminium metal. The blue is a light silver blue. They're lightweight and highly reflective, they have the raw silver-coloured aluminium contrast, and wrap-around white plastic thread handles (typically 60s). They're a simple Modernist designer shape (they have a mention on the Norwegian Aluminium Design Museum pages).

The open-topped ice bucket has its original plastic liner which comes out for cleaning. The tongs are a rare find and I can't find any documented online. The three pieces are stamped 'ELOKSAL HØYANG' and 850 for the jug, and 851 for the ice bucket. Very cool items, a statement, and not necessarily for the bar - they're cool sculptural metallic kitchen items which would look great in any home or mancave.

Ice bucket: 10.5cm tall x 14.5cm wide. Tongs: 20cm long. Water jug: 22.5cm tall to top of spout, 12.5cm wide spout. 9cm wide cylinder.

Good for the age and era! The metal being soft shows signs of age with some scratches. Ice bucket is very good with one obvious scratch. Tongs are excellent. The jug has a dink at the top of the spout, see pics, and some other surface marks. I'd give them an overall 7.5/10... great collectable statement barware.
