A large hefty (4.7kg) clear glass bowl designed in the late 1950s by Max Verboeket for Kristalunie Maastricht.

Believed to be from his Manuvaria series, a freeform art glass bowl. Dutch and made in Holland/Netherlands, mid-century.
Looks like the Uniclair bowl, but I'm not sure it is that later design.
Many Maastricht bowls tend to have colour swirls - this one is quite different and I'm yet to see another like it.
Hard to photograph and to portray the size and weight! Glass varies between 1" and 2" thick throughout.

Excellent vintage condition, no chips or fleebites or nibbles etc.
Bright clear glass, very solid and thick/chunky.
Base has movement wear consistent with its age and weight.

It is signed 'Max Verboeket Maastricht', with a pattern number which appears to be M.2.41 - although this may be a date.
It's hard to read and photograph!

28cm x  16cm x 15cm (apx). 4.7kg!

Max Verboeket passed away this year and this bowl is a great testament to his talent.
